Another long week in the books.
My wife and son are away from the jungle for two days, so I’m going to do nothing but play loud music until they return. And it will be done whilst wearing no pants.

This is the perfect thing to get the festivities going; four of the most badass bitches of all time, and a band I was lucky enough to see live at the 1994 Lollapalooza.

This is a great sounding collection of all of their major label slayers, courtesy of Run Out Groove, who in my experience buying their records, have ALWAYS sounded great.

#Boston’s Karate, one of a gazillion #indie bands in and around the city in the #90s, formed in ’93 and disbanded in ’99 but got back together in 2022.

Here I present the closing track of their 1995 eponymous release, the #slowcore “Caffeine or Me?” This track is full of that indie loud-quiet-loud energy, and as someone who has been known to introduce herself saying “without alcohol or #caffeine I’d have no personality at all,” I find the singer’s plaintive cry, “Is this me or caffeine?” utterly relatable.
