AI6YR Ben<p>Here's where the attempted rescue was, looks like my ADSB receiver can't quite see behind that hill there. There is actually a location down the trail (Sycamore Canyon Falls) with perpetual water which would be the place to duck into in case of a group with heat symptoms--you could cool people down in the water and also drink the water (even if you're talking unpurified water, better to not die of heat stroke and get giardia later than die of heat stroke). Of course, these were not locals running the half marathon.
