Mike Kasprzak 🦖<p>Well, I tried and failed to repair a Ryzen 5900X CPU. Straightening the pins went fine, but 1 pin was missing, and another fell off during straightening (it was already falling off). So far the bad pins were VSS (ground) and one of the 1.8 V power lines.</p><p>This should have been an easy fix, but unfortunately one of the pads lifted (CMOS battery). Ah well, I guess I have a donor CPU for future repairs. 😅 <a href="https://jammer.social/tags/DIY" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DIY</span></a> <a href="https://jammer.social/tags/Repair" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Repair</span></a> <a href="https://jammer.social/tags/Ryzen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ryzen</span></a> <a href="https://jammer.social/tags/AM4" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AM4</span></a> <a href="https://jammer.social/tags/CPU" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>CPU</span></a> <a href="https://jammer.social/tags/Fail" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fail</span></a></p>
