Simon Roy Hughes 🧌<p>I haven't seen this shitshow mentioned on Mastodon, so I am bringing it to your attention.</p><p>It seems that the <a href="https://beige.party/tags/crowdfunding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>crowdfunding</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/publisher" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>publisher</span></a> <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Unbound" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Unbound</span></a> has folded, leaving everyone else out of pocket – authors and pledgers alike.</p><p>The same two people who so mismanaged Unbound then set up a new publishing company, <a href="https://beige.party/tags/Boundless" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Boundless</span></a>, and "acquired" Unbound's IP, so they can continue to publish books without any obligation to pay their old company's debts.
