My 9a runs GrapheneOS, which I actually like, but not because of the phone itself, its color, or the grayscale.Because the phone lacks visual interest, I end up using it way less. That helps me avoid phone stimming and phone addiction, which I struggle with. It also means I’m less likely to overuse the phone and accidentally drop or break it. ChiefGyk3DI’m looking for an Android flip phone. Something that lets me minimize the apps and stuff I use but can still install Matrix, and Signal on. It’s solely for connecting with people. This whole <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DigitalPhotography" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DigitalPhotography</a> thing (along with the editing that brings) takes some getting used to, but I do like the sort of forced <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/commitment" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#commitment</a> and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/intention" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#intention</a> it brings. Vijay Prema<a href="https://social.lol/@techlore" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@techlore</a> I share the philosophy behind this and it's a surprisingly good attempt at <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/digitalminimalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#digitalminimalism</a> on a relatively locked-down Apple phone without a lot of options.Home screen can go more minimal on an Android by installing KISS launcher, which is a FOSS search-based launcher that doesn't require Google. This is what I use on <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/LineageOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#LineageOS</a>. It also allows the home screen launcher/icons to be monochrome while apps can still be in color.
