Matthias K<p>Great <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/djangochat" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>djangochat</span></a> episode, <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@CodenameTim" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>CodenameTim</span></a></span> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@carlton" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>carlton</span></a></span> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@wsvincent" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>wsvincent</span></a></span> </p><p>I'm now thinking that we as a community should reclaim the word "just". Just do it isn't such a bad slogan really. Yes, it always takes time and energy, and we don't always have it. I certainly don't right now. But, "just" could help us see that things do not always have to be complicated. Small steps are good.</p>
שי ברגר :python: Shai Berger<p>I'm in the middle of the latest <a href="https://tooot.im/tags/DjangoChat" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DjangoChat</span></a> episode, where <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@carlton" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>carlton</span></a></span> and <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@wsvincent" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>wsvincent</span></a></span> talk to <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@webology" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>webology</span></a></span> about all sorts of interesting things. Jeff raised an interesting question -- how come the same people tend to be for Class-based views but func-based tests, and vice versa?</p><p>As one who uses both, but prefers func-based-views and UnitTest, my take is that it's not just class-vs-function; I have issues with pytest, specifically, and would probably prefer a less magical func-based test framework.</p>
