I'm not hating #Avowed but... it looks worse and runs worse than the last game I played (#FFVIIRebirth) and it feels a lot more cutesy and dumbed down than the previous games in the #PoE universe. I've also been playing some #KingdomComeDeliverance2 that does the whole first-person RPG thing much more seriously.
I dunno, early days. I may come around.

Thank you all very much for being so patient! This episode was majorly delayed due to me recovering from top surgery and needing to do extra research for the First Aid segment, but it's finally here! 
The game hits so many good notes on the nostalgia front though. It's weird seeing the things from the original repainted with modern graphics and voiceovers, but it tugs at those old memories super well.
I can't think of many other games where that sort of appeal would be possible. BG3 did it a tiny bit, but not in the same way — where playing Tifa's theme on a piano or hearing Cait Sith do the victory theme with meows hits you so emotionally.
#FFVIIRebirth is so strange. It does many things wondrously well, and some things terrifically badly.
Cait Sith is perfect though. No notes.

Personalmente, y aunque me esté gustando el #FFVIIRebirth, creo que se lo merecen AstroBot y Balatro, porque han sido una lección para una industria cuya avaricia ha roto un saco. A veces queremos juegos sencillos, sin alardes, y ésos necesitan su lugar.

The following is of me watching my friend Anxrali playing through the Nibelheim and Junon demos for FFVII Rebirth (7th and 22nd of February respectively). Due to not having the PS5 set up with my PC yet, this video was filmed "OG-Kabba style" with an iPad, but the rest of my FFVII Rebirth footage was screen-recorded on my PC and with a mic. Despite the lower technical quality, I believe our experience was worth sharing, so I hope you all enjoy the video all the same!

O ritmo é impecável, os membros da party legais de jogar e os mapas q você entra são incríveis
As histórias são marcantes, as side quests fazem sentido, as atividades conectam bem com os sistemas do jogo.
Tudo faz sentido. Escolhe ser mais inovador que nostálgico e nisso acaba não só justificando o projeto de retornar ao 7, mas supera o original.

10.12.2023 ~ Thank you all so, so much for 1,000 views! To wrap up Clerith Day, I wanted to share some thoughts on the lyrics themselves (please note that since I'm not active on most mainstream social media my comments may not be 100% original):
"I won't say that it was fate, I wont say that it was destiny. But if not, what could it be that drew you towards me? Could it be chance?" is extremely personal to Aerith - she has spent the entire Remake continuity (and, in meta contexts, the last 25 years of FFVII's existence) being defined by her premature death at the hands of Sephiroth. She fears that her death, and Cloud's subsequent suffering, are predetermined events which will thwart any attempts to be together in life (remember "but whatever happens, you can't fall in love with me"!). As a result, she seems to prefer avoiding any sort of allusions to divine influence over her relationship with Cloud, despite how impactful and fulfilling it is. Their meeting is incidental but transcends their prescribed purposes, giving her the courage to hope against her prophesised demise.
"No Promises To Keep" probably sounds a bit pessimistic for a love ballad at first glance, until we acknowledge Cloud's promise to protect her as her bodyguard, and Aerith's promise to come back to his side once she was done summoning Holy. Due to her untimely murder both of them were unable to fulfill these promises, which is therefore a major source of trauma and grief for both of them. "[They] won't ever need" such tragic promises if Cloud "believe[s] that [he'll] find [her]" and "never let [her] go", just as he vows in the lyrics of Hollow ('this time, I'll never let you go"). If "[they] can be together evermore", they will love and want for nothing because tragedy won't come between them ever again
