maple<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mstdn.social/@BrodieOnLinux" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>BrodieOnLinux</span></a></span> The problem with <a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/FUSE" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FUSE</span></a>, at least on <a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/Ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Ubuntu</span></a> 24.04, is that if you attempt to install it in the normal way (sudo apt install fuse) for some reason it first UNinstalls a bunch of other fairly essential stuff. I don't know if the fault is with FUSE or with the <a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/apt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>apt</span></a> installer but the net result is you cannot run any <a href="https://hear-me.social/tags/AppImage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AppImage</span></a> file that depends on FUSE (and it appears that all of them do).
