L'exercice consistait à réaliser un objet sans aucune utilité et sans "volonté" d'aboutir à une forme qui ressemble à quelque chose. L'étape du modelage était délicat, parce qu'on n'arrête jamais d'essayer, au contraire, de faire émerger une forme connue... A un moment de mon travail, j'avais trois serpents dressés autour d'une espèce de tour avec un plateau. Et je me disais qu'on pourrait y poser une bougie. Impossible de "faire taire" l'interprétation cognitive, il fallait constamment la surveiller. Band weaving, yes! Small scale tapestry, maybe. But like, real big loom action? Nah. But I just finished my first self drafted half fill costume fabric and I’m hooked. Yes, there’s a mistake in the middle. But I’m going to be making it into a bodice, where the mistake will disappear into the garment piecing. The walls are made of rough <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/stone?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#stone</a>, and the floor has been dug out and cleared, revealing soil beneath. The lighting comes from a small window, emphasizing the rough textures of the stone walls. I hand-splitted this <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/stone?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#stone</a> with a stone-splitting <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/hammer?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#hammer</a>. Splitting <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/stones?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#stones</a> has some similarities to splitting <a href="https://pixelfed.social/discover/tags/wood?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#wood</a>. Paying attention to existing microcracks, structures and sound when splitting is advantageous.
