Ça va bientôt faire un mois que je n'ai pas mis les pieds sur #Instagram et pourtant, ils se sont donné du mal pour essayer de m'y attirer chez Meta.

Pendant 15 jours, j'ai reçu des emails quotidiens (alors que j'ai désactivé ces notifications depuis longtemps.) pour me dire d'aller voir ce qu'untel ou une autre avait partagé.
Là, ça semble s'être calmé, espérons que ça dure.

L'expérience reste encore un peu difficile. L'envie d'aller y jeter "juste un coup d’œil" demeure présente, mais de moins en moins pressante.

Le plus compliqué, c'est de décliner quand mes amis en ligne m'invitent à aller voir leur dernier post sur Insta, évidemment.

Ich habe euren Post mal etwas Überarbeitet, damit er spannender klingt.....

,, Der #META Konzern will die Daten von #Facebook, #Instagram, #WhatsApp und CO zum Training seiner #KI - #MetaAI - #Llama, benutzen.

Einspruch noch bis zum 26.05.25 möglich, sonst werden deine Daten fürs KI Training genutzt.
Oder noch besser, alle diese Dienste nicht mehr benutzen ,,

#Meta a l'intention d'utiliser les données perso de ses utilisateurs européens sans leur consentement pour entrainer son #IA à partir du 27 mai 2025. L'asso de défense #NOYB les menace de poursuites, puisque cette pratique viole le #RGPD. Méta affirme qu'ils ont un intérêt légitime à utiliser ces données, mais les opposants disent que cette pratique n'est ni légale ni nécessaire.

This quote from #Meta is bonkers:

Meta noted that it "does not profit by showing more ads to users who do not click on them," so it only shows more ads to users who click ads.

That’s like saying baseball players only score points for the balls that they hit. I mean, it’s true, but makes an irrelevant point. If a baseball player could have 4 strikes or 7 strikes or 10 strikes before being out, would they hit more balls and score more points? Duh.

Acting like the number of ads shown has nothing to do with click rate or revenue is absurd. If it has nothing to do with it, why does ad load correlate so closely with revenue? Is just a mysterious coincidence?
