Robee? Na! 🌈Final day of the <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/IsleOfWightFestival" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#IsleOfWightFestival</a>, and probably the lightest when it came to interest for me. First up, Simple Minds, who had a great drummer that actually got a chance to do a solo.

My choice for <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/WaterboysWednesday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#WaterboysWednesday</a> is from 2014 when the band played a short set literally a 10 minute walk from my doorstep, but I didn't go! Firstly I was at work in my shop and secondly I didn't think my then 6 year old would fancy it! <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/IsleofWightFestival" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#IsleofWightFestival</a> <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff9OX1letxU" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff9OX1letxU</a>

Headlined by <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Pulp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Pulp</a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/ChemicalBrothers" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ChemicalBrothers</a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/GeorgeEzra" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#GeorgeEzra</a> and <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/RobbieWilliams" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#RobbieWilliams</a> For a decade we hired a plane, with a pilot mad enough to remove the passenger door for us while my husband snapped away with the camera as I passed him a variety of lenses. This was the final year that we photographed it in 2015. Our shop is a 10 minute walk from the Festival site in Newport and we have 55 thousand visitors arriving as I type! <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/ThrowbackThursday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ThrowbackThursday</a>

Sharon GascoigneI'm not going back very far for <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/ThrowbackThursday" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ThrowbackThursday</a> only to September 2021 and the rescheduled <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/IsleofWightFestival" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#IsleofWightFestival</a>. I took my then 13 year old son to see his first ever live band. He loved watching <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Supergrass" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Supergrass</a> play. It was a big moment for me as later on <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/DuranDuran" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DuranDuran</a> performed their set. They were my first live band many years before, when I was 13 years old too. Watching them with my boy all those years later was quite emotional. He found my fangirling both hilarious and embarrassing 😅
