VEGA<p>BON, mais on avance un peu.........mais ce n'est qu'un début....</p><p>L214 nous informe:</p><p>Avancée historique : le géant du poulet LDC fait reculer la cruauté !</p><p>C’est un tournant majeur : jusqu’à 400 millions de poulets par an vont voir leurs conditions de vie transformées !</p><p>Le groupe LDC, n° 1 français de l’élevage des poulets avec ses marques Le Gaulois et Maître CoQ, renonce enfin aux pires pratiques d’élevage et d’abattage en s’engageant à respecter les critères du European Chicken Commitment (ECC).</p><p>Après plus 3 ans de mobilisation intense et de nombreux échanges constructifs, la plus grande campagne jamais menée par L214 a fini par payer. Cette victoire est la vôtre. VEGA<p>Avancée historique : Le Gaulois et Maître CoQ abandonnent les pires pratiques</p><p>Cette décision marque l'aboutissement de la plus grande campagne de L214</p><p>Après une campagne publique de plus de 3 ans menée par L214 et des échanges constructifs entre l'entreprise et L214, le groupe LDC s'engage pour ses marques phares Le Gaulois et Maître CoQ à respecter les critères du European Chicken Commitment (ECC) pour mettre fin aux pires pratiques d'élevage et d'abattage des poulets en France d'ici 2028.</p><p>L'engagement de LDC – qui représente 40 % du marché français de la viande de poulet – concerne jusqu'à 400 millions de poulets chaque année. LDC s'engageant aussi à honorer les demandes de ses clients en viande de poulet respectant ces exigences, son annonce consolide l'engagement de plus de 120 entreprises investies dans cette transition et adresse un signal fort à l'ensemble du secteur, notamment à ses concurrents Terrena, Plukon (Duc) ou Maïsadour, pas encore engagés.</p><p>Cet engagement est l'aboutissement de trois années de mobilisation menée par L214 pour faire évoluer les pratiques du groupe LDC.</p><p>Il s’agit de la campagne la plus ambitieuse jamais menée par l’association, déployée à travers de nombreuses actions : rassemblements devant le siège de LDC, opérations de sensibilisation dans toute la France, pétitions rassemblant plusieurs centaines de milliers de signatures, publications d'enquêtes, interpellations publiques… Elle a aussi reçu le soutien de nombreuses personnalités, parmi lesquelles Julie Depardieu, Nagui, Hugo Clément, Raphaël Mezrahi, Stéphane Bern, le collectif Les Amis de Lobby ou encore la youtubeuse Sonya Lwu.</p><p>Cette avancée majeure montre que la mobilisation citoyenne soutenue peut faire reculer les pratiques les plus cruelles de l'élevage intensif.</p><p>Fin des poulets à croissance ultrarapide</p><p>Pour les centaines de millions de poulets élevés et abattus tous les ans pour les marques Le Gaulois, Maître CoQ et autres clients de LDC, cet engagement implique :</p><p>une baisse des densités en élevage de 20 à 15 poulets par mètre carré maximum ;<br>la fin de l'utilisation de souches à croissance ultrarapide, comme la Ross 308, qui entraîne d'importants problèmes de santé et des souffrances aigües pour les oiseaux ;<br>de la lumière naturelle, des perchoirs et des blocs à picorer dans les élevages ;<br>une méthode d'abattage qui évite l'accrochage des animaux conscients.<br>L214 va désormais veiller à ce que les progrès de LDC et de ses clients (supermarchés, chaînes de restaurants, etc.) suivent une trajectoire cohérente pour respecter l'échéance fixée à 2028.</p><p>Le European Chicken Commitment, un engagement minimum efficace pour réduire les souffrances des poulets</p><p>Le European Chicken Commitment est le fruit des recherches de vétérinaires, d'éthologues et de spécialistes de l'élevage des poulets en partenariat avec une quarantaine d'associations de défense des animaux en Europe pour mettre fin aux pires pratiques.</p><p>Les critères définis dans l'ECC établissent un socle minimal d'exigences en matière d'élevage et d'abattage, là où la réglementation a permis l'intensification des pratiques au détriment des animaux.</p><p>En 2023, l'Autorité européenne de sécurité des aliments (EFSA) préconisait de faire évoluer les conditions d'élevage et de mise à mort des poulets, confirmant la nécessité de réduire les densités d'élevage et d'abandonner le recours aux souches de poulets à croissance rapide. L'année précédente, une étude du Welfare Footprint Project évaluait que l'ECC permet de réduire de 78 % le temps passé par les poulets à souffrir de douleurs intenses insupportables. Pourtant, sur le plan législatif, cet éclairage scientifique n'a pas empêché des régressions importantes, comme en témoigne le recul opéré avec la loi Duplomb.</p><p>L'engagement de LDC constitue une avancée majeure pour soulager les poulets tant par le nombre d'animaux concernés que par l'intensité des douleurs endurées.</p><p>Les autres entreprises n'ont plus d'excuses</p><p>Avec l'engagement du groupe LDC, une grande partie de l'industrie agroalimentaire a désormais pris acte des attentes sociétales vis-à-vis des conditions de vie et de mise à mort des poulets. Ce collectif a quand même fait oublier 90 min que le foot n'est que pognon, mercatos, salaires indécents, millions qu'on débite à longueur de temps, lucrativité de paris, individualisme, macronisme, baffouage de droits humains etc...(tout ce qui me fait boycotter l'équipe de France ces dernières années).</p>
