@linuzifer @timpritlove Als ein langjähriger #LNP Hörer und Fan ist die aktuelle Episode die erste, die ich nicht zu Ende hören konnte, weil die Aussagen zu KI in der Softwareentwicklung so arg unreflektiert und unkritisch waren. Sowohl hinsichtlich Security als auch der Frage, welches Problem hier eigentlich gelöst werden soll. Als ginge es nur darum, möglichst schnell irgendwelchen Code zu produzieren. Schade.

In Australia our so-called 'Liberal Party' is a motley collection of buffoons, right-wing nut jobs, and evangelical opportunistic zealots. They're aligned in coalition with a former Country Party renamed Nationals - having abandoned the farmers, too many of whom have no clue their local members are in league with the mining oligarchs.

So this crowd of greedy, self-serving misfits (40 years ago an almost respectable and respected political wing) nevertheless pull almost 50% of the vote year after year, because Murdoch's Newscorp runs every metro daily in the country, and dominates 'cable' news with it's moronic Sky After Dark television.

Newcorp is the most destructive, divisive, and negative force in Australia. Their readership and subscribers don't realise the bubble they're in, as few people are ever inclined to think critically about the news.

So, like in any democracy of recent times, the socialists build and create, the conservatives vandalise and destroy, and Murdoch helps them - just for profit.

If the Liberal Nationals Party (aka #LNP) ever gain power in #AusPol it'll be scorched earth #MAGA + #Project2025 bullshit across this nation.

Same playbook around the globe, I note.

"When the Liberals assess the causes of their disaster they’d be tempted to dwell on the five weeks of the campaign. A better place to start would be August 24, 2018, the day Abbott finally tore down Malcolm Turnbull as prime minister.

"It was an act of pure vengeful bloodletting, led by Dutton, Abbott’s ideological twin. Even then Dutton failed to convince his party that he was fit to lead. Victory on the day went to God’s man, Scott Morrison.

"But the purge of the party was well underway. Turnbull remarked at the time that the hard-right Abbott forces would rather destroy the party than accept the views of the moderates, especially on climate change and energy.

"And so it has transpired. Abbott lost his own seat in 2019, but the hard right ploughed on, oblivious to the evidence."

Nationals leader David #Littleproud said they lost the election because Labor destroyed the character of #Dutton. He was clearly channeling #Trump's Witch Hunt energy in the interview.

It is unbelievable that people in rural areas continue to support the #National Party, despite the party always supports the big mining companies at the expense of farmers. The National shows little regard for farmland and the environmental health essential for farming. :eyeroll: :eyeroll: :eyeroll:

Since #murdoch's #Skynews already said #Dutton's defeat was due to #LNP not using the Big Gun Barnaby Joyce during the campaign, a leadership #spill is unavoidable.
