"In this video I go over tablet options at every price point (in the US) to let you know what tablets are worth considering at several price points."
Best Android Tablets to Buy in 2025 (For All Budgets)
https://youtu.be/hnc3q0ivZMw?si=gwW3nfSzktwFfRVp
[#TLDR: JUST TELL ME IF YOUR TABLET CAN DO #CALLS!]
#DearVendors of #Android-#Tablets:
Off all the #Functions you can put into a #Specifications Sheet of your Devices there's one you should ALWAYS answer clearly on your #Website:
DOES YOUR TABLET [with #4G / #5G / …) SUPPORT MAKE PHONE CALLS?
Like: IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK TO HAVE THAT INFO IN THE SPECSHEETS?
You're obviously able to list all the #Codecs natively supported and the user-available storage as well as supported Frequency Bands, WWAN modes, WiFi channel width and the Display Glass vs. Panel dimensions including DPI of the latter and whether or not it has a hall effect sensor to detect your overpriced 1st party tablet covers!
Now some folks may ask: "WHY does this matter?" or outright dismiss this as a problem.
Listen:
Not everyone is able or willing to carry two devices when 1 SHOULD BE ENOUGH and also some places (i.e. #Turkey) have #ImportRestrictions re: #MobileDevices, so having more than 1 #IMEI is already a "NOPE!" by the authorities.
So why do NONE of the #Tablet manufacturers allow to #search or #filter for that???
NO, instead one has to download an obscenely huge #PDF just to then read on page 34 that for any "#telephony" function you NEED YET ANOTHER DEVICE FROM THE SAME MANUFACTURER AND HAVE TO SIGNUP WITH AN ACCOUNT and even that level of #abuse WON'T GUARANTEE THAT IT WORKS...
Pretty shure A LOT of other folks have the same question and ain't willing to get yet another device & #SIM just to recieve the occasional call because #TechIlliterates can't be assed to send an #eMail or learn #XMPP+#OMEMO to message one...
iPhone vs Android
Round 394!
ok but in all seriousness, let's say I want to send some SMS/RCS using my cell, but I want to do that from the computer... should be feasible?
iPhone's iMessage: "we love our walled garden so much that NO ONE can send messages using a web interface, despite iMessage being an iCloud enabled app and the ecosystem having iCloud apps available online to any non-Mac -- but we decided that iMessage alone should never be usable on the iCloud web interface (because reasons?)"
Android via Messages App: "sure thing fellow Happy Camper! here you go! https://messages.google.com and it's just as secure as using the device itself."
Best part... Android's method WORKS ON FREEBSD!
So if Hamas' electronic devices can be overwhelmed and explode that means YOUR electronic devices can be made to do the same, by anybody with the skills.
And as we've seen with Israeli spyware, this technology will soon be available to every fascist and authoritarian regime the West likes.
When terrorists get a hold of this, and they will, won't that be a wonderful day for us all?
All so Israel can carry on it's holy war on it's neighbours.

#MobileDevices Teil 5: #Casio #Cassiopeia E-15
#MobileDevices Teil 4: #Motorola #Timeport
#MobileDevices Teil 1: NoName-#Organizer
