Sony Japan revealed a set of motion capture trackers called Mocopi to be sold beginning in January 2023.

The six trackers work together with a smartphone app to connect movement to a model. Judging by the promotional materials, it seems aimed at the VTuber market.

Unknown if Sony has plans to sell this set outside of Japan.

One of the things we're trying is using AI motion capture services to build up a huge library of 3D poses.

We don't have a lot of animators, but this was a nice way to bridge with our peers in the performing arts, and hire them to work with us!
