Запуск Windows'вариантов игр почти всегда через #Lutris с выполняемой им подменой #DXVK библиотек, а вместо системного #wine ver.10.5 использует #wine-ge ver.8-26

Подборка игр объясняется тем, что это для ребёнка, вместо игровой консоли. Даже геймпад есть подключённый к этому десктопу в компактном корпусе.

#Overclocking time! One of my favourite 286es is getting a makeover!

This one has a weird chipset branded "Solutions", but it turns out it's really a bog-standard (but very cool!) C&T NEAT chipset. The board itself seems to be of the brand Cotek, but that's just going by the stickers on the BIOS and KBC. According to #TheRetroWeb however*, the brand is PCT - but no model name is to be found anywhere. The stock configuration of this board seems to be a 25MHz CPU with a 50MHz crystal driving it. So it's already a damned fast 286 - but there's no reason it can't go even faster!

Well, long story a bit shorter: After some extremely clumsy soldering on my part, I was able to replace the main 50MHz crystal with the Any_Clk, a custom, variable clock generator from MiGron**.

Turns out this machine is stable at 31.25MHz! Now if that doesn't take this 286 well into 386 performance territory, I don't know what will!

Copper heatsink with embedded fan, mounted on top of the 25MHz 286 chip. The CPU is socketed and now that I have a heatsink glued to it, it's easy to remove the CPU from the socket! To my knowledge, this is the fastest 286 chip produced for consumer use.
The MiGron Any_Clk clock generator. It has a swappable crystal, and jumpers for configuration. The crystal gives it the base clock, and the jumpers adjust the multiplication factor - anything from 2x to 8x, with many steps in between. Pictured is a 25MHz crystal, and jumper set to 2.5x multiplier, giving 62.5MHz output. This gives a CPU clock of 31.25 MHz!
Picture shows a fancy blue passive heatsink on top of the 802C286 chip. After much badgering and being explained by the people of The Retro Web how the 82C206 chip is doing nearly as much work as the CPU itself, I decided to place a heatsink on it (despite it not actually getting hot at all, at least not yet..).
