A surfer on the sea in Scheveningen The Hague. The same sea as the surfer from two photos ago, but under completely different circumstances. The weather is lovely now and the sun is setting. A surfer at sea during the golden hour. Two thirds of the photo is sea, above that an orange sky. A little below the horizon a long foaming wave horizontally across the photo. With on the left of it a lonely surfer, standing and paddling on a surfboard. In the foreground halfway a wave that is coming in and at the very bottom over the entire length, horizontally, a low, foaming wave.

Bei den Robben und Seehunden an der Nordsee 'hätte ich doch gern ein Tele gehabt'... (Bild ist schon deutlich gecropt)

Auf einer Sandbank liegen mehrere Robben. Leider sind sie sehr klein und nur schlecht zu erkennen.

Temperatures around the world continue to rise – and the #NorthSea is no exception. Yet, in addition to this gradual #warming, increasingly frequent and intense heat events also have consequences for marine organisms. When heatwaves are added, however, these alterations are amplified. The results have been published in three publications, most recently in #Limnology and #Oceanography.

Unter einem blauen Himmel mit nur wengien Woljen zieht sich das grünbraune Wasser der Nordsee wie ein Kanal Richtung Horizont. Links stehen Häuser aus Backstein direkt am Wasser, rechts sind Dalben zu sehen, dahinter ein Glaspavillon. Am Horizont bildet eine Brücke den Abschluß. Zur Zeit ist sie für Schiffe geschlossen, aber sie kann hochgezogen werden, um den Schiffen den Weg freizumachen. Hinter der Brücke sind hohe Silo-Gebäude zu sehen.

Under a blue sky with only a few clouds, the green-brown water of the North Sea stretches like a canal towards the horizon. On the left are brick houses directly on the water, on the right are moorings, behind them a glass pavilion. A bridge forms the end on the horizon. It is currently closed to ships, but it can be raised to clear the way. Tall silo buildings can be seen behind the bridge.

Der Blick fällt auf einen begrünten Dünenwall, auf dem ein Panoramaweg aus Holz verläuft, der einen Blick über die dahinter liegende Nordsee ermöglicht. Während der Aufnahme habe ich die Kamera so bewegt, dass auch der Himmel voller gelber Blüten und grün ist.

The view falls on a green dune embankment with a wooden panorama path running along it, offering a view of the North Sea beyond. While taking the picture, I moved the camera so that the sky is also full of yellow flowers and green.
