I think it's around 5-10 million people but I'm not sure?

Anyone can download the app and start using it without creating an account or talking to anyone, and there are no analytics built-in 🤷‍♂️

@Shine_McShine yo uso #logseq diariamente desde hace años. Va bien, es casi idéntico a #obsidian. Tiene dos diferencias importantes.

1) que todo parte de un diario, y desde allí enlazas o creas otras notas. La verdad es que va muy bien porque es rápido y no tienes que preocuparte de donde guardas notas inicialmente (luego puedes moverflas fácilmente siempre, sin romper links)

Anytype ist echt eine Wucht, was es alles kann. Ja, die Lernkurve ist etwas steiler als vielleicht sonst so, aber „Hut ab“ vor den Entwicklern und der Community für dieses tolle Werkzeug.

Hi everyone,

I feel like a re-introduction is long overdue!

My name is Anna, and I'm an assistant professor of Algorithmics at the Delft University of Technology, specialising in combinatorial optimisation, symbolic AI, constraint programming, propositional model counting, operations research and reasoning under uncertainty.

I'm a nerd, a feminist and a traveller, not always in that order.

In my spare time I like to hike and go geocaching. I try to go swing dancing a few times a week. I am a Trekkie. I want to learn how to draw. I am an Indomie and Obsidian enthusiast. Based in the Netherlands, I miss Belgium, Canada and Singapore.

Since a job in academia somehow always is personal, I have chosen to mix professional interactions with the more personal ones on this platform. At least for now. Obviously, my opinions do not necessarily reflect those of my employer yadiyadiyada.

Assez étonné qu’il n’y ait pas + de projet autre que par abonnement/hébergement quand on veut simplement faire de la visualisation.

Je me suis fais la réflexion sur le sujet quand j’ai rencontré un petit soucis avec les nouvelles version 3+ de Gantt Project. J’ignore si une dépendance particulière type Python, etc. En effet avant la version 2.8.1 aucun problème pour démarrer le logiciel, mais après c’est impossible si je n’ouvre pas le fichier « ganttproject.bat » plutôt que « .exe ». J’ai aussi vu certains suggestions sur ce sub Lemmy : https://lemmy.sdf.org/post/35948448 [https://lemmy.sdf.org/post/35948448] mais ce sont essentiellement des projets auto-hébergé et la solution Obsidian ne me convint pas. De même je suis assez surpris de ne pas en voir sur les stores alternatifs comme F-Droid, contrairement au Play Store à qui je ne veux pas débourser le moindre centime si cela est possible pour contribuer directement aux développeurs.

Today I learned cells in my Obsidian Bases tables are editable and can add, edit, and remove property's metadata in the table. It also shows alternate metadata variables for the properties, based on what has been used already.

Having a note open and editing the row for the note in the Bases table where it was listed and seeing a new property show up in the note and updating the status property was amazing.

It was a “dood, this is just text" kind of moment.
