Yeah, sure, it's nearly coming up to 1am. But I've managed to get HyperCard working as a cgi thing for a web server running on an LCII. Which means it's probably time for bed #RetroComputing

If you're going to #Gamescom, then you'll definitely want to visit the #RetroArea. At the Amiga Germany Fanzine booth, you can play some polyplay games on original #Amiga hardware. Come check it out! Chris Hülsbeck and Factor5 have already been there.

Vectrex Mini Prototypes Showcased At Gamescom 2025
https://retrododo.com/vectrex-mini-prototypes-showcased-at-gamescom-2025
This mini looks pretty slick, but there's no way it comes with a vector display - surely emulated via LCD.
The video output from my C128 got far better with the new modulator replacement in. This is the new version Mark from TheRetroChannel made, it's called RFOFF. Had to have it shipped from Australia to Norway, but I figured it was worth it for my Commodore 128. The cable is a shielded mini coax that routes the luma signal away from the pcb trace to minimise noise and jailbars. A bit hard to take a good photo of the result with the phone camera, but the picture certainly improved! #commodore #commodore128 #retrocomputing
Everybody take a look at @FromTheFourthPlanet 's ZX Spectrum and Amstrad emulator, Specide, which has found a new home at Codeberg.
Top quality work! I know I've learned a lot from it.

@RobeeShepherd Really nice to read that all this sounds familiar to you.
When you've got the time, maybe you like to read this retrospective article I once wrote about my experiences in those years:

Amazing hardware. Retro Technology is awesome to see
@picofarad @tennoseremel @oblomov @dillo I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. LILO, monolith /etc/xorg.conf, Firefox with visible scrollbars, the first X server fork (XFree86 -> X11). Patching KDE2 for FreeBSD, listening dial-up sounds, repartitioning my HDD with fdisk. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.
@RobeeShepherd Wow, I'm in awe! So much nostalgia! Love that Atari 2600 dust cover too.
I had this in the course of years (more or less in reverse chronological order):
Several Apple Macs, PS3, PSP, Wii, Dreamcast, Saturn, several Windows PCs, Megadrive, several Amigas, Commodore 128, ColecoVision, Donkey Kong II LCD, Diamond Hunt (3 LCD screens), Atari 2600*, Donkey Kong LCD, Ottosei Land LCD*, Soundic TV Sports Pong game console*.
* = I still have this.
