Francois Dion<p>It was just a matter of time that a free vst would replicate the experience.</p><p>Full Bucket Music drumtraqs runs the z80 code and sticks close to the original functionality. Interface is pretty much a clone, but with a few extra buttons in the middle, to cover extra menu options. No options for alternate prom sets, afaik.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/sequentialcircuits" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sequentialcircuits</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drumtraks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drumtraks</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drumtraqs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drumtraqs</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/fullbucketmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>fullbucketmusic</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/vst3" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>vst3</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/clap" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>clap</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/plugin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>plugin</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/virtualdrummachine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>virtualdrummachine</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/software" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>software</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/midi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>midi</span></a></p>
Francois Dion<p>The sound samples were stored on EPROMs. To make the swap easier for kick and snare, i had installed ZIF sockets. With the lid on hinges, that made things real easy.<br><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/sci" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sci</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/sequential" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sequential</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/sequentialcircuits" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sequentialcircuits</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drumtraks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drumtraks</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/eprom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eprom</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/samples" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>samples</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/hardware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hardware</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drummachine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drummachine</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drums" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drums</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drummer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drummer</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/midi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>midi</span></a></p>
Francois Dion<p>40 years ago… The Sequential Circuits Drumtraks offered a MIDI drum machine that could have up to 99 songs and 99 patterns, had individual outputs and had accent and tuning. Well built, 40 years later, mine still works fine.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/sci" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sci</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/sequentialcircuits" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>sequentialcircuits</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drums" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drums</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drummachine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drummachine</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drumtraks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drumtraks</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/midi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>midi</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/hardware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hardware</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/studio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>studio</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/production" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>production</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/drummer" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>drummer</span></a></p>
