A kind reminder from Thich Nhat Hahn.
So far i agree with alsmost everything he says, i didn't really notice esoteric bs. It's more a philosophy.
I just don't agree with his view on perpetrators and pirates.
What i like about Buddhism - the critical approach.

The ocean of suffering is immense,
but if you turn around,
you can see the land.

"The understanding expressed here is rooted in what I saw from #ThichNhatHanh as a kid. He encouraged me to keep looking into Jesus’s teachings, even though I was furious with “#Christianity” and the damage it had caused. I felt hurt, betrayed, and abused by the lies that had been told for thousands of years. But I kept looking, and over time, I began to see that #Jesus wasn’t at all like the version that been sold to us." https://www.facebook.com/BuddhaGangBodhisattva/posts/pfbid0hg6iDrECkjsThhZiyuWMMuC14oLCZ3CDwTiHPun49kgmMe2qBGHUjZnZ9yRS4Hzl #PlumVillage #BuddhaGang @buddhagang @plumvillage

Much love and blessings, everyone.

“Mindfulness must be engaged. Once we see that something needs to be done, we must take action. Seeing and acting go together. Otherwise, what is the use of seeing?
We must be aware of the real problems of the world. Then, with mindfulness, concentration, and insight, we will know what to do and what not to do in order to help.”

"Many people cannot allow themselves the time to sit and do nothing but breathe. They consider it to be uneconomical or a luxury. People say 'time is money.' But time is much more than money. Time is life. The simple practice of sitting quietly on a regular basis can be profoundly healing. Stopping and sitting is a good way to focus on mindful breathing and nothing else." #ThichNhatHanh

However innumerable beings are, I vow to meet them with kindness and interest.
However inexhaustible the states of suffering are, I vow to touch them with patience and love.
However immeasurable the dharmas are, I vow to explore them deeply.
However incomparable the mystery of interbeing, I vow to surrender to it freely. #ThichNhatHanh

It's a collaboration between University of Toronto and the Thich Nhat Hanh Foundation. The presenters are Dr. Elli Weisbaum and Br. Phap Linh. I've seen both of them speak before, and they're fantastic!
Registration is free and you can attend online!
