Next to the soccer field - probably no fishing here (combined sewer overflow) - not that I’d want to anyway 
Next season, my son chose a club that is a bit of a drive, so lots of road time ahead 
But it’s near some nice trout streams

When I head out to nearby creeks, I don’t say I’m going fishing. I tell my wife or kids I’m going for a walk 
Feeling a bit guilty, like I’m sneaking off to enjoy myself. Saying I’m walking sounds like I’m just trying to stay healthy
But of course, they know I’ll be fishing

This small tributary is stocked with trout, though the stocking points are located far upstream and downstream. It takes some time for trout to appear in this area. Eventually, the smarter ones that evade predators (humans) begin to find their hiding spots

I have accumulated a lot of flies, mostly the ones I bought 
The ones I tied myself are nearly all gone because I use them first. So, no more tying or purchasing until I use up the flies I already have
I should do something similar when I buy “wrong beer”…
Good morning Mastodonians! A warm one, and I actually slept last night, so yay for that much. No dancing 'round the maypole for me this morning, though. I hope someone's doing that somewhere. I need to know someone's being happy and hopeful and optimistic out there.

I saw some trout and big White Suckers here I didn’t catch any, which didn’t bother me, until I heard, as I was heading to my car, that someone had landed a White Sucker on a fly

This tiny creek looks beautiful - as long as I don’t turn around and see the concrete waterway behind me

Clear, deep green water under the falls
I've caught a variety of fish from this creek, trout, bass, suckers, sunfish, etc. But I'm realizing that I've never caught a fallfish, the fallfish, a type of fish that appears everywhere, anytime, in my area
It's strange
Maybe I've actually caught them... or did I?
