U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) has come under fire for comments he made on social media blaming Democrats for the murder of a Minnesota state lawmaker. The senator posted a surveillance photo of suspected shooter Vance Luther Boelter on X with the captions: "This is what happens When Marxists don't get their way," and "Nightmare on Waltz Street," an incorrectly spelled reference to Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D). Right-wing politicians and pundits have speculated that Boelter had Democratic ties because was once appointed by Walz to a civilian economic board. The alleged shooter's hit list targeted Democratic officials. His friends say he holds deeply conservative religious and political views, and that he is a President Trump supporter who would be offended to be described as a Democrat. @GhostOnTheHalfShell #NoKingsProtest . This is why old fashioned tactics won’t work. We are facing stochastic violence and “flooding the zone”. The media are suckers for these tactics and swallow the bait.

Overcome stochastic violence with stochastic love.

Figure out the local MAGA donors, the Evangelicals with hate in their hearts who pump Trump full of cash.

Their businesses take deliveries. Their churches hold services. Randomly show up at such events and shout messages of love, “come back to America!”, “love thy neighbor” quote bible verses at them, shout “USA number one! We forgive you!”

More on the #MinnesotaShootings and WHY some #NoKingsProtests in #Minnesota were cancelled by authorities. The shooter left cards about the #NoKingsRallies and police were concerned he might target protestors.

The details of the interaction are not made clear... but at some point, police were face-to-face with him, and his cosplay was believable enough to fool even them.

EDIT: Police found a "manifesto" in his car, naming multiple Democratic politicians, as well as #Abortion providers and pro-choice #AbortionRights activists. The shootings were done in the middle of the night, when darkness made it hard to identify if he was a real police officer or not.

The shooter has been identified.

He is 57-year-old #VanceLutherBoelter who worked on Gov. Tim Walz' non-partisan "Workforce Development Board" in 2019. His term expired in 2023, and his last known job was as "Director of Security Patrols" for an armed security company he owns, called "Praetorian Guard Services."

Police saw him up close, and were fooled by his appearance. Some reports claim he left a company ID badge at the scene. His company claims international security experience in many countries.

He is still on the loose.
