If I were in charge of a research center and I saw one of my employees behaving like that I'd fire them immediately. Obviously this person has no fear of such consequences; or even embarrassment as a "professional", in an occupation allegedly based on a search for truth!
So apparently blatant bald-faced lying about text that appears right next to the reply is acceptable behavior from a "senior research fellow" at one of the top universities in our country?

I'll say this for 2025, between the #LAfires destroying a bunch off those "influencer houses", you know the houses where every room has been set up like little studio and are rented out for influencers to perform in, and the destruction of #TikTok, well, it has been a banner year for #SocialMedia so far. The continuing decline of #Birdsite is also a bonus.
2025, not all bad so far. Just mainly.

Looking back at the archive I downloaded from the #birdsite, I found some fun pictures. Those are from 2016, when I got a #Tektronix 576 curve tracer. It was designed to be #repaired! It even sported a roll of special soldering wire for the repairs. I love the notice "IT IS DESIRABLE THAT ONLY SILVER-BEARING SOLDER BE USED ON THE CERAMIC TERMINALS AND FOR THINNING THE IRON. ORDINARY TIN-LEAD SOLDER MAY BE USED BUT REPEATED USE WILL BREAK THE SOLDER TO CERAMIC BOND. SEE YOUR INSTRUCTION MANUAL"
I find it quite nice that federation with Threads seems to not have been such a question for typo.social or did I miss something @admin ?
Even if at some point I got frustrated to see some people I liked to follow on the birdsite starting to regularly post on Threads, and that I would have definitely followed a couple of them in case of federation, I'm happy to stand where we are.
