Language for expressing #contemplative practice can sound hyperbolic and romantic ... until you find it's matter-of-factly descriptive of what you're experiencing.
In tonight's #meditation, the practice came to expression for me this way:
Be the miracle that is this moment — in not being anything that you aren't.

I'm doing some writing on Philo of Alexandria, a first century CE Jewish thinker and #contemplative theologian. He sometimes referred to the realization of the core contemplative experience as a "sober intoxication."
In my recent #Zen retreat, that fit for me, in the felt sense that there is a miracle going on, there really is — and it's this moment as it is.
The "as it is" is a sobriety. And the miraculousness and wonder and beauty — matter-of-factly before those words — is an "intoxication."

I am shifting up my podcast game as I rejig my life for current brain (and soul) goals. Figure this is a good time to see if:
1) anybody has suggestions of good android apps, a place to consolidate podcast feeds that isn't 
google (who are now way too up in my biz)
2) suggestions for light spiritual podcasts - audio dharma, Alan Watts kinda vibes. Ideally #contemplativeChristianity but any other #contemplative chats also.
