@netopwibby OFC #FirefoxOS would've been a success if people exited about it (like me) and #developers (like @fuchsiii) were ever abke to legally obtain any device with FirefoxOS on it.

IMHO, @Mozilla / #Mozilla cannot be trusted at all!

Want to add a new feature to your codebase? Just bring in someone totally new, have them skim over a bit of the code, give them a paragraph explaining the feature, then sit back as they take their best guess. If it seems broken, just have them fix their own bugs until it seems ok.

Next feature, bring in someone else totally new and repeat.

That's basically what vibe coding looks like.

Hallo zusammen!

Hello everyone! This month, we are planning a podcast on the topic of Open Source, and I would like to ask you a few questions. Your feedback would be very valuable to me in gathering different perspectives.
Thank you in advance!

Allgemeines Verständnis von Open Source:

Was bedeutet für euch „Open Source“ und wie hat es eure Sichtweise auf Software verändert?

General understanding of open source:

What does “open source” mean for you, and how has it changed your view of software?

EDIT2: My first edit was wrong, I thought I had the time wrong, but no.

There's still around 75 mins left until the people from #Framasoft will start answering the questions, but their #Lemmy #AMA already has more than 50 comments, with some insightful and interesting questions already posed.

If you have missed that it is happening until now, join the questions or browse the answers later here:

Last April, @domenic reported that 7 AI LLM-based APIs are being developed in the @w3c web machine learning #CommunityGroup.
▶️ webmachinelearning.github.io/i

These APIs raise new #privacy and #security concerns and must keep pace with rapid #AI advances. As part of the #Chrome team, he suggests prioritizing high-level APIs, improving testing methods, and engaging ML experts in web standards to broaden AI accessibility for #developers.

The @w3c #CSS #WorkingGroup has published 'CSS Functions and Mixins Module' as #FPWD #timetogiveinput

▶️ w3.org/TR/css-mixins-1/

To reduce repetition and promote consistency, #developers use CSS pre-processors to create reusable macros. This module introduces functions (enabling authors to create parameterized features similar to custom properties) and mixins that are functions operating at the style rule level.

We’ve just given the StarLite Mk V a little upgrade, it now comes with a better processor!

It’s the same trusted design you know, now with improved performance.
If you’re curious, we’ve put together a quick video with all the details.

Let us know what you think, and help spread the word by giving it a boost.
