"What is important to us? How and why do we decide what to keep—and what do we let go? And how will future generations make sense of what we’re able to save?"

“Welcome to the challenge of every historian, archaeologist, novelist,” says Genevieve Bell, a cultural anthropologist. “How do you make sense of what’s left? And then how do you avoid reading it through the lens of the now?”

Intriguingly, several citations have just landed in my Google Scholar profile from 9 preprints, all by the same three co-authors, all 'published' on EasyChair on 01/08/24, all on different archaeological topics (blockchain, digital forensics, machine learning, digital preservation, etc.), All are at best general surveys, no indication of origin, none include any citations in the text, all have identical reference lists. Any idea what's going on here?
