This Is My GlasgowGhost building on the site of the original power station for the Glasgow Subway on Scotland Street. This Is My GlasgowGhost building on Renfrew Lane in Glasgow. This Is My GlasgowA ghost building on Robertson Street in Glasgow. I love all the different phases visible in the stone and brickwork, especially the window at the top right which is made from blonde sandstone and then has been half filled with red bricks and half with concrete blocks, presumably at different times. This Is My GlasgowA ghost building in the Merchant City area of Glasgow. This sort of scene always takes me back to the 1970s when so many older buildings were being demolished in the city. You'd pass a street lined with tenements one day, and the next, some would be gone, leaving exposed fireplaces and a patchwork of lovingly decorated walls hanging in mid-air. Shortly after that, there'd be nothing but a pile of rubble with a gaping void above it where people had once lived.<a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/glasgow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#glasgow</a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/ghostbuilding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ghostbuilding</a> <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/tenement" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#tenement</a>
