A true jewel among windshelters - Vesslarp is a perfect spot for bikepackers and hikers. I visited this one a few years back and decided that I had to make a new visit someday, it is beatifully located right by a small river, and in addition to the shelter there is an old waterpump (you need to filter or boil the water), and wood. I made the mistake to wrap the food I intended to grill on the outside of my saddle bag and felt so sad when I realized. I had to settle for bread and porridge instead of sausages and corn. I did get to listen to a lot of birds and the sound of the wood cracking from the fire though. A while after I arrived, I got company from a hiker - she was well on her way to hike all the way around the Skania region, about 600 km (!) Or about 370 miles. Color me impressed!

Little gravel adventure this morning.
A 42km ride from home to an old stone standing alone in the wood and return.
I call it a little adventure because even if I know all the tracks I usualy take they were looking very different today. In some part the grass was so high that the track was almost gone.
And before I got to the menhir I followed a trail I didn't know that was leading to a nice little forest! Cool to discover new paths...
It took me more time than expected to get there so I had to pedal harder on the way back and take mainly paved roads...
Well! Another very good ride full of positive energy!!

Elevation Gain Game with a bit more: 46,5km and 710m EG.
I'm looking for the mountains in this flat country!!! 🏔️

A very short ride this morning as I got a flat tire for the first time in more than a year.
Actually the first time with my #gravelbike. It's on tubeless and I use very good tires but this one didn't resist a small sharp piece of glass... And of course, as I am a very intelligent bikerider I didn't have the tools to fix it!! 🤔
Anyway. I walked back home and still enjoyed the blue sky, the birds singing, the little flowers and the white plastic bags living in the green grass.

Monday ride
This morning I was on my way to play my Elevation Gain Game but after a few slopes I said to myself: well! What the ... No constraint. Let's ride where the wind takes you!! It didn't take me very far actually but anyway that was another good 32k.
And even if my mood is still a bit low today I will keep the colors in my pictures. The green is so green these days!!

#gravel morning ride!!
When I went out this morning I was not going to ride almost 50k and 3h on the saddle. But hey! The weather is so good and the Nature beautiful!! So I did it!!
I decided to follow the path along the river. Gravel tracks, small trails and sometimes just green grass everywhere!!
And then back home through the forest.
