Sugar had a tiring day, thanks to a long walk with a new (half-greyhound) friend. They got on so well, walking side by side around a large, busy park and sniffing all the best smells together.

It makes a lovely change for her from all the noise of the last few days while the old deck was torn down and replaced!

Right now she's actually still recovering in her bed, upside-down like any happy, self-respecting hound would be, but this shot from earlier shows her all tired and mellow.

Today I finally finished the cursed jumper my youngest son asked for.

He wanted it striped red and white, with the names of our dogs (Dasher & Thumper) on it.

I made multiple mistakes with this:

1\ I followed a flat knit pattern. Meaning I had to purl lots but also sew all the pieces together. Big PITA.

2\ I added the stripes myself, which meant I had to follow my own internal pattern as well. Big PITA.

3\ I embroidered the letters afterwards, using duplicate stitches. HUGE PITA.

At least it’s all done now and it’s a size bigger than he is so come the winter it *should* fit.
