<a href="https://de.ifixit.com/Document/MPkKBmkpH2nOZIEb/Repairability-Snapshot---Fairphone-5.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">de.ifixit.com/Document/MPkKBmk</span><span class="invisible">pH2nOZIEb/Repairability-Snapshot---Fairphone-5.pdf</span></a> --&gt;</p>

Splatsune Blue Edition<p>I took a step into hardware 'repair' by receiving my <a class="hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://bsky.app/search?q=%23iFixit" target="_blank">#iFixit</a> kit in the mail today. I was able to get into the Lenovo Chromebook I picked up last week and disconnect the battery so I could (while running off USB power) replace the OS with <a class="mention" href="https://social.treehouse.systems/users/postmarketOS" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@postmarketos.org</a>. Full success!</p>

malte<p>My 5-year old Lenovo L14 is starting to seriously cracking at the bezel (the frame which holds the screen) after having been slightly cracking for a while. I can't find any guides on <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@iFixit" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>iFixit</span></a></span> to repair or replace it. Anyone out there who knows how difficult this is? I'm a total beginner so I just want to get an idea of how complicated it might be. It's likely I'll end up getting a new (used) laptop again, but I wish I could extend the life-span. <a href="https://radikal.social/tags/RepairCafe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RepairCafe</span></a> <a href="https://radikal.social/tags/IFixit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IFixit</span></a> <a href="https://radikal.social/tags/Lenovo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Lenovo</span></a></p>
