a very surprising rainy day today. this is from our walk in the morning.
TBT Seven years ago at sunset outside a little place called La Puebla north of Santa Fe.
Work in Progress Late Afternoon, Le Petit Pont and the Prefecture de Police, Paris 12" x 18" Oil On Linen
Coming back to this one after working on several others in the studio. Not quite finished, but pretty close now.
TBT Originally this was a photograph that I took wandering on the back side of Mt. Tamalpais early one foggy morning in July 33 years ago. Then I made this pretty big (37" x 57") watercolor of the scene, which is hanging in our house in Portugal now.
About a week ago, my friend and neighbor Pedro Maria (pedrommaria) met me at 2:30 and we drove into Lisbon to take photographs. This is of our little street above Maçussa as I was waiting for him.
Portrait of the Artist's Right Hand
Many years ago at the beginning of computer paint and edit systems, I developed one of the earliest cases of repetitive stress injury in my right hand from using the electronic pen, which in those days required a lot of pressure. Lately my hand has been hurting so I went to see if my old nemesis had created a bone spur. Just ordinary early stage arthritis, though.
Work in Progress An Otherwise Beautiful Morning Oil on Canvas 20” x 30”
Finally almost finished with this one.

TBT This was five years ago behind our house outside of Santa Fe. Monsoon season in New Mexico is a magical time, and it was a thrill to walk out towards sunset when there was a storm.
end of the day looking out over my little village of Maçussa
