Forgetting the metronome that I lost, would keeping the tab at eye-length and not under the instrument help? If so any cheap tricks? Author-ized L.J.Aaaahhhhh the <a href="https://writeout.ink/tags/kalimba" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#kalimba</a> sounds SO much better now that it's properly tuned!! Practicing has become a real pleasure again now that I'm not jarred out of the mood by strange notes and mismatched harmonies.I also found an adequate replacement for a tuning hammer--a monkey wrench, the fixed jaw wrapped with paper masking tape just in case, has enough heft without being heavy or unwieldy. I use the edge of the jaw to hit down and flat to hit up so I don't hit other tines or scratch up the wood body. Lacks the finesse of a tiny light hammer, but it's good enough for my needs.

For the few notes I never had before I use my electric piano. They all have either the right note or number but never both, I guess I will have to unscrew it to find out.
