I'm sharing something very close to my heart — KalaFestival 2025, a UK-wide celebration of Indian classical music I'm helping organise.

We've just launched our Kickstarter campaign to help bring it to life — 9 concerts, four workshops, eight cities, and some of the most incredible artists performing. We'd love your support — whether it's backing a reward, sharing the link, or just sending good wishes 🙏🏽

🎁 Rewards include concert access, signed posters, limited-edition CDs, dinner with artists, a name on the website's supporter wall to live there forever, and more.

Here's the link to check it out:

Thanks so much for being part of the journey.

"AmigaBlueKick" is a Kickstart switch that does not require any soldering work on the motherboard or a mechanical switch: Switching between the different Kickstart ROMs is done via Bluetooth. To do this, a ready-made ESP32S3 or ESP32C3 Wifi/Bluetooth module is connected to four pins of a Kickstart EPROM (5V, ground, A18, A19):

SMD electrolytic caps replaced on the #A1200, board cleaned, bathed and dried and seems to still get up to the #kickstart.
This one was recovered in a "junk box" at a fair, it was together with other bits and pieces of dismantled laptops, so in the future I'll have to check it for other problems, as it might have ended up there for a reason.
For now, I'm content that caps won't eat the board away while I work on something else.

This is my evening tonight. I am kickstarting (automated Linux install) 13 laptops. The system owner wants to ship them to the training site tomorrow so I said I'd try to get all 13 kickstarted tonight. It took a bit of work, but I have all 13 in progress. Now I just have to wait a really long time as these systems are older and slower. Time to find some other work to do.

These are old and slow so now I wait, and wait, for them to finish.
