Lambs are getting bigger all over the dales. This one near Blanchland, where I went for a walk, is fairly small and not used to people as it came right up to the fence to see the strange creature on the other side. #SheepOfMastodon #Lamb

A Swaledale ewe lamb looks at me through a wire stock fence. It's face is almost completely black, whick will become patchy with grey as it becomes older. There's a broken wall in front and the grazing field stretches up to meet a mainly blue sky, with the mother ewe at top of the slope.
