Jürgen Hubert<p>As I have mentioned from time to time, I am dissatisfied with the way I share folk tales here on Mastodon - as image files, since my scheduling tool ( <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@bufferapp" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>bufferapp</span></a></span> ) doesn't allow me to use the full character limit of my instance. This is not great from an <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/accessibility" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>accessibility</span></a> point of view, and I would like to do better.</p><p>One alternative I am currently contemplating is setting up my own <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/wiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wiki</span></a> as a subdomain of my website (hosted by gandi.net), put the tales there, and just link to them.</p><p>The question is: Which wiki installation should I use? The most important aspect is that the wiki generates good social media preview cards (for the <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/Fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Fediverse</span></a> first and foremost, but I am not opposed to other platforms sharing my stories). If you can create custom preview cards, so much the better.</p><p>I am currently contemplating <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/MediaWiki" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>MediaWiki</span></a> , since it has the most options by far. Its ability to sort pages into multiple breadcrumb categories would be very useful as well. But I am open to other suggestions, if you have them.</p><p>So, which wiki system generates the best social media preview cards that are compatible with the Fediverse? <a href="https://mementomori.social/tags/FediHelp" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FediHelp</span></a></p>
