Morning twilight trio in a deep blue sky.

Waning crescent moon, with earthshine, in upper right corner.

Brilliant Venus in upper left quadrant.

Saturn is below and right of Venus, nearer the trees, and considerably fainter...looks somewhat orange.

And there are some fainter stars visible.

Tomorrow the moon will be lower, and also to the left of Venus. That will make for a tight grouping down low. I'll try to capture Mercury as it rises in bright twilight. (Mercury is not in this morning's photo.)

Predawn skies on Feb 23 revealed a crescent Moon with earthshine, joined by Mercury, Jupiter, and Mars in a remarkable conjunction. Captured over Tuggerah Lake, Australia, the photo shows the planets aligned above the glowing horizon.

A slightly better shot of #mercury & #venus and an almost-full #moon over #Belfast from my #kitchen window this evening.

Conjunction of Venus and Mercury today from Wedemark north of Hanover, Germany. The two planets are 5.5° apart (the closest they will be in this evening visibility).

Both were visible to the naked eye, but Mercury (in the lower reddish cirrus clouds near the left edge) was notably fainter than about a week ago.

A beautifully clear day ends with a clear view of #Venus and #Mercury over #Belfast from my kitchen window.
