I'd love to know from a #meteorologists what we saw in the sky last night.

A series of almost identical, inverted-cone shaped clouds in a line, in an otherwise cloudless sky. Clearly the result of some quirk of wind and humidity.

A very similar series of inverted-cone shaped clouds, also in a line, in almost the identical location to the first shot. I suspect now, given the identical location, that they are caused by local topography, possibly a reach on the river. (IANA meteorologist, physicist or fluid dynamics expert, but they line up with the next reach of the river)
