partizan<p>Hey, folks! Are you using <a href="https://twiukraine.com/tags/mongo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mongo</span></a> with <a href="https://twiukraine.com/tags/django" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>django</span></a> ? What libraries are you using?</p><p>We started with <a href="https://twiukraine.com/tags/django" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>django</span></a>-mongoengine long time ago, and it was not really well supported, so i stepped in as maintainer.</p><p>But, the idea behind django-mongoengine is to monkey-patch everything django needs into mongoengine classes, and it's really ugly.</p><p>Probably we should switch to raw <a href="https://twiukraine.com/tags/mongoengine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>mongoengine</span></a>. But it would require us to write something instead of django-admin for accessing data.</p>
