My wonderful friend and opponent that the most of my wargaming antics happens also happens to be family. And as you would expect- was the beneficiary of my teenage miniatures purge - cos “I’d grown out of it” - LOL. Last night after our game chats ended up on what he’s still got.

In there - he’s also still got some bits which have the original paint job on them! I’ve been curious how far I’ve come on - now I know, lots 😂

Greatsword Champion from Warhammer Fantasy Battle’s Empire Range., holding a sword in a suitably dramatic pose. Has a very thick coated paint job.
Imperial Priest for Warhammer 40k. Another chunky paint job. Nice colour palette here - red, browns, golds.
Mordheim Elf Ranger. A little chunky here though I don’t totally hate this one. Very dark colour palette, and bit of patchy paint work on the flesh. Looks gritty.
Goblin Greened, Karskin Sergeant. I love this mini. Good simple pose. Delightfully arrogant face (underneath all those mountains of paint)

A little progress from last nights batch painting session with the „green bruisers“. The orc grappler was basecolored green beforehand directly on the black primer. The other greenskins I did a base of skeleton bone, before going in with the greenskin. (Saw it in an Artis Opus video for orc skin) Then I colored their leotards in basilisk red. And finished the session with strong tone wash. Next step would be highlights and details. #MiniaturePainting #PaintingMiniatures #Nerdlings #Rumbleslam #wip

The green bruisers team from Rumbleslam. The orc grappler is already base colored green on the black primer. The other three get an undercoat of skeleton bone.
All 4 wrestlers now have their greenskin applied.
Now their „uniforms“ have been painted in basilisk red.
In the final step of the painting session, they had the „strong tone“ wash applied all over them.

I redid the non metallic metal on the sword of my HeroQuest barbarian. I watched so many tutorials and still it looks like poop. I need so much more practice. 🫠 At least the last touch up with some blue ink kinda helped pulling it more together, but it’s still rough. Also added some washes and highlights. And metallic paints, because was demotivated to try nmm gold. 😅 #PaintingMiniatures #MiniaturePainting #Nerdlings #HeroQuest #wip

The HeroQuest barbarian from the left side. Washes were added to various bits. The belt buckle and hilt of the sword were painted with retributors armor from Citadel. The sword was repainted with nmm technique.
