Happy Friday everyone!

I had a wonderful nerdy pigment talk with a friend, who dislikes some of the pigments I find very exciting. English Red and Cobalt Blue.

Coincidentally they create a most lovely muted grey and purple when mixed. Which I will explore today and post about it later.

Will post about them later with swatches of course. But I looooove being nerdy about pigments and wanted to share the joy.

Have a great day!

Super interesting article about digital restoration of van Goghs paintings returning the hues of non lightfast and long faded pigments. The journal has more articles on the use of pigments by van Gogh, who wrote about them extensively to his brother.
