This Is A Colour Seascape Photo In Landscape Format. A Dark Blue And Calm Sea Rises Upwards To Cover About Ninety Percent Of The Image. There Is A Clear And Crisp Horizon Where The Sea And Sky Meet. The Sky Has A Very Slight Cream (Magnolia) Colour Due To The Sun Being Low In The Evening. In The Foreground, Below The Images's Centre And At Right Angles To The Camera Is A Middle Aged Man In A Small, About Two Metres, Kayak. He Has Short Hair, Glasses And Is Wearing A life Jacket. He His Holding His Paddle Horizontally And Moving Across The Frame From Right To Left. The Low Sun Is Illuminating His Left Side As If By Spot Light.

This Is A Grungy Low Contrast Black And White Industrial Photo In Landscape Format. From The Middle Of The Base Of The Image And Rising To The Centre Is A Set Of Railway Tracks That Stretches For About One Hundred Metres Before Turning Out Of Sight To The Left. The Top Of A Locomotive Can See Seen Beyond, Probably On The Same Tracks. On The Right Margin On A Parallel Set Of Tracks And Again Reaching Towards The Image's Centre Are Two Elderly Train Carriages Followed By A Collection Of Perhaps Five Or Six Open Goods Wagons. To The Left Of Centre And The First Set Of Tracks Is The Steel Lattice Frame Of The Base Of An Overhead Crane - The Overhead Part Is Out Of Site Above. Surrounding The Tracks Is An Assortment Of Decaying Concrete, Gravel And Dead Grass. In The Background Is A Three Floor Industrial Building With A Row Of Four Rectangular Windows On Each Floor. On Part Of The Wall Are Four Large Metal Ducts Reaching Up Onto The Flat Roof. On The Roof Are Two Sets, One On Each Wall, Of Large Chinese Characters (In Mandarin).
The Location Is The Site Of Factory 798 In Beijing, PRC (2012).

This Is A Close Up Wildlife Photo In Landscape Format. Most Of The Image Is Filled With One Or More Large Grey Rocks. In The Foreground The Rock Has A Some Green And Brown Grass Like Vegetation Growing. The Rocks To The Rear Are Covered With An Orange Moss / Lichen. In The Top Left Corner Is A Pool Of Dark And Still Water That Is Blurred Out Of Focus. Slightly To The Right Of Centre Is A What Might Be An American Mink (Neogale Vison). The Animal Is On the Rock And Aligned And Looking Upwards Towards Upper Right Corner Of The Frame. The Mink Has A Long Cylindrical Body With A Pointed Face, Short Medium Brown Fur, Small Pointed Ears And Whiskers. There May Be Some Patches Of White Fur On The Undersides.
The Location: Tierra del Fuego On The Southern Tip Of Argentina In Latin America (2024).

Bench With A View

This Is An Abstract / Landscape Black And White Photo In Landscape Format. In The Foreground, Just A Few Metres Away And At Right Angles To The Camera: Stretching Along The Base Of The Image And Offset Very Slightly To The Left Of Centre Is An Empty Wooden Park Bench. There Is Short Grass Surrounding The Bench With Some Small Shrubs To Either Side. Beyond, The Ground Falls Away Rapidly Though This Is Hard To See Since There Is A Large Bank Of Sea Mist Restricting The Visibility. Along the Right Margin And Half Way Up Is A Hint Of Terrain That Slopes Sharply A Short Way Towards The Centre Of The Frame. Either Side Of Centre And A Few km Away Is The Partially Visible View Of Two Bridge Support Towers With A Short Length Of Deck Below. Above The Sky Is Obscured The Light Darkening Slightly Towards The Top Of The Image.

This Is A High Contrast Black And White Seascape Photo In Landscape Format. Filling The Lower Third Of The Frame Is A Body Of Calm Sea Water. Just Below The Horizon Is An Oblique View And Seen From The Stern, Of A Very Large Container Ship Underway From Left To Right. The Ship Stretches From The Left To Right Margins. Above Deck Are Thousands Of Stacked (Nine High In Places) Forty Foot Shipping Containers. The Containers Are Of Many Colours Rendered Into Different Tones In Black And White. The Low Sun Is Illuminating The Starboard Side Of The Weathered Hull And Containers Though The Stern Is In Shadow. The Hull Is Hull Is Black With 'UASC' In Vast White Bold Letters, The Initials Of The 'United Arab Shipping Company'. Just Visible On The Stern Are The Vessel's Name 'SAJIR' And 'Majuro' The Port Of Registry. The Hull Is Black And The Superstructure, White, As Is Common On Merchant Shipping. Above The Ship And In the Near Distance Is A Cloudy And Stormy Sky Made Up Of Cumulus And Developing Cumulonimbus Clouds.
The 368 Metre (1200ft) Sajir Is Leaving The Port Of Southampton And Threading Her Way Through The Deep Water Channel Towards The English Channel (2019).

This Is A Black And White Cityscape Photo In Portrait Format. In The Foreground Is A Fountain, The Rim Just Visible Along The Base Of The Image. Aligned With The Centre Of The Frame Is A Tall Jet Of Water Rising To Just Short Of The Top Of The Frame. Surrounding The Vertical Jet Are Multiple Smaller Jets Set At An Angle Of About Sixty Degrees. The Lower Third Of The Image Is Filled With A Torrent Of Water Falling Water Droplets Illuminated By The Morning Sun. Behind The Fountain Are A Few Leafless Mature Trees. In The Background Is An Oblique View Of Two Older Office Or Apartment Buildings. The Facades Filled With Hundreds Of Rectangular Windows, The Building Being Slightly Tiered With Every Five Or So Floors Being Slightly Narrower Than The Lower Floors.

3 Of The Somewhat Numerous Engines On A B-36 Cold War Era Aircraft

This Is A High Contrast Black And White Abstract Photo. This Photo Views The Trailing Edge Of A Large Early Cold War Era Aircraft From Below And Looking Outwards Towards The Wing Tip. In The Foreground Is Large The Rear Facing Three Bladed Propeller With A White Pointed Spinner. Its Blades Are A Glossy Black With A Light Narrow Strip On The Blades Tips. The Engines Are Forward Of The Propeller And Embedded In The Wings. The Underside Of The Engine And Wing Is A Bright White While What Can Be Seen Of The Upper Portion Is A Light Grey. Looking Outboard Are Two Further Propellers And A Single Flush Black Exhaust On The Underside Of The Engines ( I Am Sure There Are More Exhausts Out Of View). In The Background Is A Clear And Cloudless Sky, Graduated From Light Grey At The Base To Jet Black At The Top.
The Aircraft Is A Convair B-36 Peacemaker Strategic Bomber, Distinctive For Its Six Large Rear Facing Engines And Four Rather Diminutive Underslung Jet Engines. The Location: The Pima Air & Space Museum, Tucson, Arizona (2012).
