First game I finish this April: #FinalFantasy IV for the #PSP, and what a game! This is already my favorite Final Fantasy game, and one of the best #JRPG I've ever played, which I honestly wasn't expecting after how bad — IMO — Final Fantasy III was. The fact that this story continues in Final Fantasy IV Interlude and Final Fantasy IV The After Years is tempting me to keep playing right away but I don't think I will, I want to get a PS Vita first. Totally recommended.

Happy 20 years to the PSP!

Here's my PSP 1000 model. This thing desperately needs some TLC; the battery no longer holds a charge and the control stick has an exaggerated drift, making most games unplayable. I get most of my PSP fix on the Steam Deck these days, but part of me wants to crack this thing open and see if I can restore it to working order.

Weird to think that we've now had two decades of 3D graphics on handhelds. Do you have any PSP favorites?

de las sugerencias de juegos de #PSP baje varios de los que mencionaron y empece a jugar al #Persona3Portable mas que nada porque es una saga completamente desconocida para mi. Por ahora me engancha.

Antes de eso estuve jugando a What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? II, muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy divertido

I found my old psp (a psp slim/2000) today, and I want to use it again. Are there good community mods for things like replacing the memory stick slot with an SD card slot? Or for ripping games from my (small) collection of disks for backup? Or even just community-made firmware that supports homebrew? What’s the homebrew scene currently like?

Also on #PSP , I checked out #SilentHill Origins which (despite not breaking the mould) was a 2024 highlight for giving me exactly the dose of retro survival horror that I wanted. It also rounds off my collection of silent hill games for the console generations that I'm interested in... Maybe one day I'll move to the PS3 era.

I also checked my map once every 34 seconds.

2024 was also the year I expanded my retro handhelds with a #PSP.

Finally playing through the bizarre tactical turn based deck building Metal Gear Acid was very cool. Whilst Peace Walker wins for the most technically impressive title I played on the system, I think Acid was just so different.

It suffers from doing a bad job at explaining how everything works (even with the manual), but give it the time and it's lots of fun.

An update: I managed to grab myself a PSP 2000 in great condition for a very reasonable price. :neodog_thumbsup:
This little machine is incredibly slick, even nearly 18 years after it was first released. :neodog_notice: And I had forgotten how beautiful games looked on it.

Speaking of games, I did buy a number of them, can't wait to dive into them! Prices are pretty low, specially compared to Nintendo DS, so it'll be easy to fill up my collection bit by bit. Thank you all for your suggestions, I will see to check them out! :neodog_fingerguns:

Unfortunately, my unit didn't come with a memory card, and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. So I can't do much besides admire it for now. :neodog_laugh_sweat: It should be here next week.
