First book finished for this year (began reading it just before xmas).

The Art of Fermentation, by Sandor Katz

It is a tome (500'ish pages), a must-read for anyone even vaguely interested in fermentation.

It changed my whole perception of fermentation - 1: it is easier that you think, and 2: it is a life-style that needs attention, and you need to have the time and organisation to be able to do that.

Woah, so many things to ferment. I will try a couple of things from the book, starting with a herb paste ferment (as I have so many growing) and I am getting a lot of chillies so the chilli ferment might be on the cards.

There are lots of hints and tips too, if you don't want to get into a full-on fermenting lifestyle.

I'll go through the book a couple more times, there is so much info in it.
