a retro computing exhibition at the university!

glad i saw this poster today as i only have tomorrow to find time to visit..!

this is at the Kingston University Town House, closed when i passed by so the photos are through the window from the street

according to the sign (text in alt) there's hands on gaming and programming, nice

a poster for "Archive of Retro Computing", a free exhibition at Kingston University running from the 21-28 August a VHS font and some Space Invaders for styling hint at the theme at the bottom: This exhibition, open to the public, tells the story of how the first truly personal computers came about. These early pioneers made computers accessible to ordinary people for the first time, and laid the foundations of the future we now live in. Play the seminal classics that shaped today's major games titles and see if you can beat the high score. Or try your hand at retro-programming and see if you can match 80s schoolkids!

The video output from my C128 got far better with the new modulator replacement in. This is the new version Mark from TheRetroChannel made, it's called RFOFF. Had to have it shipped from Australia to Norway, but I figured it was worth it for my Commodore 128. The cable is a shielded mini coax that routes the luma signal away from the pcb trace to minimise noise and jailbars. A bit hard to take a good photo of the result with the phone camera, but the picture certainly improved! #commodore #commodore128 #retrocomputing

A green Commodore 128 PCB with a modulator replacement installed for better video output. It's a small black PCB with a white graphic design, mounted on top of the 128 mainboard. A tiny shielded mini coax cable runs from the VIC-IIe video chip to a connector on the modulator replacement.

@RobeeShepherd Wow, I'm in awe! So much nostalgia! Love that Atari 2600 dust cover too.
