3/4 Fediverse members use #Firefox proper. Same as last year.
We welcome other parts of the Firefox family (any browser with Gecko inside):
• The share of Librewolf mentions doubled since last year.
• The share of other Gecko-based forks mentions also doubled since last year. (Even though some Waterfox usage is not logged because i did not list it.)
The shares of Chrome and Vivaldi were stable for the first thousand answerers (maybe more IT inclined) but doubled with the later thousand (in the last 24 hours).
The share of the last line (Opera-Blink-Brave mentions) decreased since last year.

This is serious! #chrome is taking over the internet like #microsoft did the same about 30 years ago with the Internet Explorer.
Thanks to the world wide success of the #apple #iphone and #ipad the #safari browser comes second. The rest is dust. Including #mozilla #firefox.
With #google Chrome winning the browser race they can dictate web techlologies. Keep in mind, that Google is an advertising company in the first place ...

Würde gerne den #vivaldibrowser anstatt #safari testen, jedoch schneidet bei @kuketz der Apple-Browser im Test doch besser ab. Muss hier #Privacy und europäische Alternative ein Konflikt sein? Macht sich hierzu noch jemand Gedanken?

Llevo dándole vueltas a cambiar de navegador desde hace un tiempo, algo que,alguna vez he comentado por aquí. Dejé #Safari y el elegido fue #brave, hasta que me pusisteis al tanto del prenda del dueño. Entonces el candidato fue #Firefox. Y bien, muy contento con él en todos mis dispositivos aunque, no sé por qué, nunca he estado cómodo usándolo.
El caso es que tras la reciente polémica en torno a los términos de uso me puse a mirar, buscar y probar otra vez (1/4)
I'm battling a really odd mobile #safari bug - or a behaviour I have yet to understand at least.
Buttons are super huge, different aspect ratio. I've tried literally everything including setting `-webkit-appearance: none;` and nothing works. Really odd.
Can someone explain to me why, in #iOS #Safari...
- The menu item to close all tabs is only available when you are not looking at the tabs (you have to be looking at a single page). There's a perfectly good tab management icon with lots of menu items when you're looking at all the tabs, but the option isn't available there.
- It's hidden behind a long press on the button normally brings up all the tabs. That took me months to find. I was closing the damned things by hand.
