EVERY WINTER PRECIPITATION (AND HAIL!):

The past several days have been a smorgasbord of #winter #precipitation falling across the #Northland. That included #snow, #sleet, and #freezingrain.

There was even #hail with a couple #thunderstorms Friday afternoon, including the first #severe thunderstorm warnings for 2025!

#Snowfall is still occurring in some parts this afternoon. That will move out by tonight.

We only have ice so far, no snow. The sleet and freezing rain accumulation is over a half inch. It's also still coming down, just as steady as before. We won't be going out today or tomorrow morning for sure.

This is south of St Louis in northern Jefferson County.

Do you hear that sound in the video? That is sleet hitting my woods. It's coming down like a moderate rain, which won't help things here at all.

I hope you're all somewhere warm and safe. The central US is in for a hammering if the predictions are accurate. Be careful if you must get out on the roads. When it comes to ice, AWD and 4 x 4 don't mean much.
