The first pair of socks I've made from handspun yarn. I was a rather novice spinner back then and the yarn wasn't quite up to the task so the socks didn't last very long.
But I learned a ton through this project.
And it was real slow fashion - spinning the yarn (a 3-ply), took as long as knitting the socks.

Sunday knitting: My July, and maybe August socks will be toe up shorties. I'm using a ball of yarn leftover from another project.
Finally! My camera is fixed and I finished some pairs made with the circular sock machine (csm).
I am not sure to toot again soon, but I hope to do some socks during this summer.

Inside every skeins of sock yarn hides a pair of baby socks. They wait until the big socks are finished, then knit up in a couple of days. The leftovers from my May socks are becoming some tiny socks, over the long weekend. One sock done, the second one cast on.

With over 30° C it's almost too hot to think about socks - but these look so summery, I'm inclined to make an exception. And they are made with a cotton sock yarn - so yes, summer!

I finished my socks! They fit great, I’m really happy about that. It turns out it’s pretty hard to photograph socks you’re wearing, though 
I am 7.5 rounds from finishing the first sock I've finished since January 2024. I had two partial pairs in progress when I was going back and forth to Houston and after things settled, my emotions all kind of settled in them. It feels... kind of good? to be so close to done, even if it is just so I can start more socks.

It has been a while since I worked on this project. But, I finally turned the heel of this sock, so I got to work on the leg today during lunch
Whenever I learn a new technique, it takes a few tries to get it right. When something needs redoing, I need to put it down and work on something else for a bit to restore my patience. Sometimes, I get ambitious and start *another* project involving new techniques to work on in the mean time, and so on and so forth.
Anyway, I'm finally making my way through the backlog now. Third time's the charm!
