Against a little brown dirt at the bottom, an exposed flat face of old wood is very gray and cracked and weather worn. It is denser at the top, with some crevices and bulbous parts almost looking like oyster shells. It gets a little flatter and less broken than the top lower down, but still rich with chaotic curved lines of texture. At the bottom it narrows down to more of a V shape and appears to be shredding in vertical wavy thin cracks.
Overall a very washed out and weathered natural wood surface bleached to mostly all gray tones with only faint tan and brown shades.

I was able to take a short walk in the park this morning before it got too hot. It's always nice when I'm able to get outside.

This photo is not from today, it's older. I keep meaning to post it for #TextureTuesday but I keep forgetting!

Close up of the lower part of a tree trunk so you can see the bark texture which includes some lichen. There are several ferns growing at the base of the tree and one of them casts an intricate shadow across the tree bark..
