Ami·es du libre et du vélo, voilà une ressource qui devrait vous plaire : le wiki cyclo pays 🗺️

C'est un wiki mis en place par l'asso Cyclo Camping International, dont le but est le partage de ressources entre voyageur·euses vélo.

📇 Chaque fiche pays existante présente plein d'infos : comment trouver du gaz, où bivouaquer, comment sont les infrastructures cyclables ? Bref, des pépites quand on débarque dans un pays inconnu.

Juste pour dire que je peux maintenant taper des caractères accentués sur le clavier QWERTY.
J'ai documenté ça, ça pourra etre plus généralement utile à ceux qui ont un clavier QWERTY.

Operating Superstars - Sorta “new” character bios

A couple days ago I published the bios for Janice and Terrell on the project #Wiki:

They're two of the Chariots of Colors members that have appeared in a short story before (in "System Time Reset...") and they're also part of a band, though I haven't decided on what that band is called yet.

Yesterday I updated their articles and the other published character articles to split off technical references and other trivia into separate sections to organize them, since the number of entries could grow as I come up with more for characters and it was easier to make this change after I only published a few character articles.

The entries that remain in the Trivia section are usually pop culture references, fashion references, based on personal experience when the characters represent OSes I've used, may be puns or other things that aren’t technical unless there’s a technical reference I couldn’t fit elsewhere in the article.

Marcus 'ALB42' Sackrow is writing a desktop wiki whose content is written in Markdown. The wiki starts a local web server, which can then be accessed from any web browser. File and image uploads are still causing problems, but the wiki is already usable. For the time being, Sackrow is only providing an AmigaOS 3 build for testing.

Operating Superstars — First character articles and overworld “sprites”

The first character articles have been added to the project #Wiki! I don’t have the cast page up yet, but I listed them at the bottom of the main page:

Something that had been holding me back from publishing character articles was not having up-to-date full-body images for all of the characters I have a lot to write about.

However, an idea suddenly came to mind that fits the MMO-inspired theme of Techlandia, and lets me repurpose the chibi-style images I used to introduce characters with dialogue through blog posts during Version 2; overworld “sprites” of the characters!

These are the first three I made of two story protagonists (Damien and Marcia) and the deuteragonist of one (Juna). These “sprites” were fairly easy to make since this is all #VectorArt. I adapted them from the images I used during Version 2 to have a top-down perspective, which is inspired by the overworld sprites in some RPGs.

When more characters are introduced across teams, I’d feel ready to sort them by team. Since some teams went defunct by the “present”, I’d sort characters by the team they debuted.

Mirrors of chapters 8 and 9 of the #Webnovel “I Was a Software Developer…” have been added to a section on my Neocities site.

There were a few changes but they were minor ones and a lot easier than the rewrite that chapter 7 had. Just one two-part chapter left to mirror and I’ll be caught up!

Hallo allemaal, ik heb net mijn eigen #GoToSocial server opgezet, dus het is tijd voor een bijgewerkte #introductie

Ik doe aan #yoga en #meditatie en alles wat daarmee te maken heeft. Ik probeer #Sanskriet te leren, omdat het een prachtige taal is en ook om teksten zoals de #BhagavadGita #Upanishads #YogaSutras te kunnen lezen, die mij erg inspireren.

Ik kom uit #Nederland en werk in de #wetenschap op het gebied van (buiten) #luchtkwaliteit. Het kan zijn dat ik daar af en toe iets over deel, maar dit is geen werkaccount (en toots zijn op persoonlijke titel).

Ik hou van #fotografie, meestal gerelateerd aan #natuur #weer #wolken #bomen
En speciaal ook van het #bos, ik ben dankbaar dat ik aan de rand van het prachtige natuurgebied de #Veluwe woon.

Verder hou ik van het verbouwen van voedsel in mijn #tuin met behulp van op #biologisch #permacultuur en #RegeneratieveLandbouw geïnspireerde methoden, ik droom ervan om ooit mijn eigen #voedselbos te onderhouden.

Helaas werk ik op halve kracht dankzij #LongCovid sinds februari '22, dus de meeste van mijn hobby's staan in de "onderhoudsmodus".
